HELLO, a bit about ME

I am Md. Toufique Hasan, a graduate with a Master’s degree in Data Science from Tampere University, Finland. My academic journey builds on a strong foundation in Computer Science, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh. I am passionate about utilizing AI and data-driven approaches to foster innovation and address complex challenges.

Professionally, I serve as a Doctoral Researcher at GPT-Lab, Tampere University, Finland, where I focus on designing and developing advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications and AI Agents. My work revolves around enhancing Large Language Models (LLMs) with efficient retrieval mechanisms, contextual knowledge systems, and autonomous AI agent capabilities. I aim to build intelligent systems capable of tackling real-world challenges in data interpretation, automation, and decision-making.

Before my transition to academia and research, I gained extensive professional experience. As a Software Engineer at MSB Academy, I played a key role in developing their core web application, improving the platform's user experience, and shaping educational content. Earlier, as a Junior Software Engineer at OSS Ltd., I contributed to the development of ERP software, sharpening my problem-solving and technical skills.

In academia, I served as a Lecturer and Coordinator in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the European University of Bangladesh (EUB) for nearly three years. My responsibilities included teaching theoretical and practical courses, supervising final-year projects, and coordinating academic activities.

My journey blends academic expertise, industry experience, and research innovation. I am driven to collaborate with peers and create solutions that advance the fields of AI, data science, and software engineering. My goal is to advance these fields by developing solutions that enhance the way we interact with systems, automate processes, and extract insights from data.
